New Mutual Funds - Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund Launches 4 New FMP Funds

Birla Sun Life Mutual Fund has launched four new funds named as Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 35, Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 36, Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 37 and Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 38, close ended income schemes. The New Fund Offer (NFO) price for the scheme is Rs. 10 per unit. The new issue opening and closing dates are as follows.

The investment objective of the schemes is to generate income by investing in a portfolio of fixed income securities maturing on or before the duration of the schemes. The schemes will have only dividend and  growth option. Further, dividend option shall have only payout facility. Default option will be growth. Minimum subscription amount under the scheme will be Rs. 5,000 per application and in multiples of Rs. 10 thereafter. The fund seeks to collect a minimum subscription (minimum target) amount of Rs. 20 crore under each scheme during the NFO period. Entry load and exit load charge will be nil. The schemes would allocate upto 100% of assets in debt securities and money market instruments with low to medium risk profile. Upto 40% of assets would be allocated to government securities with low risk profile. 95% to 100% of assets would be invested in A1 rated certificate of deposits and upto 5% in A1 rated commercial papers. The benchmarked index for Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 35 & Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 37 is CRISIL Short Term Bond Fund Index, CRISIL Liquid Fund Index for Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 36 & Birla Sun Life Short Term FMP – Series 38. The fund manager for the schemes will be Kaustubh Gupta.
