NATA 3 Day Telugu Sambaralu From June 29

With an aim to serve the growing needs of thousands of people of Telugu origin living in there, the North American Telugu Association (NATA) is organising a three-day convention in Houston, Texas, on June 29, 30 and July 1.
The convention would have business meetings, cultural events, social interactions and dinners serving exclusive Telugu cuisine, member of the convention committee Gurram Srinivas Reddy told mediapersons here on Saturday.The entire 2 million square feet of George R Brown Convention Centre has been reserved for the ‘Telugu Sambaralu'. A number of representatives of the government, officials, politics, entertainment and other industries from the State are expected to participate, he added.There are no differences with other association representing Telugus in the United States of America, Mr Reddy said.
Focus
The NATA was focusing on bringing together the youth of Telugu origin and help them retain their links with the rich culture and tradition.Such conventions would also help the youth socialise, share information and build networks, another member of NATA, C. Prasad, said.The NATA has been working in tandem with engineering colleges in the State by organising senior faculty from the US to take classes here.
