HP cutting around 25,000 jobs

HP mulls cutting around 25,000 jobs

Hewlett-Packard Co is considering cutting its workforce by 10% or minimum of 25,000 job.

The job cuts, which cloud include retirements, are under discussion, but not yet been finalized. The sources did not elaborate on a time frame or other details.

HP, which employs more than 3,00,000 people across the world. And they could announce the layoffs as soon as next week.

Shares of HP, the leading PC makers were up cents at $22 in afternoon trade.
